Job Overview

Renze Consulting is seeking a virtual assistant to help us manage our AI research and consulting business. This is an independent contractor (1099) position, with a preference for candidates who operate their own virtual assistant business. We anticipate 5 to 10 hours of work per week, with compensation ranging from $25 to $35 per hour based on qualifications and experience.

Ideal candidates will have experience managing day-to-day business activities, including bookkeeping, communications, scheduling, and social media. We’re looking for someone who is detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and an excellent communicator. Above all, we want someone who is smart, gets things done, and is a pleasure to work with.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle communications via email, social media, virtual mailbox, etc.
  • Perform bookkeeping, basic accounting, and document management
  • Manage calendars and schedule meetings, webinars, and other events

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a virtual assistant or similar role
  • Experience working with distributed teams and digital collaboration tools

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with QuickBooks Online (or similar accounting software)
  • Experience with basic WordPress website updates and maintenance
  • Experience with productivity apps (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Trello)
  • Experience with Agile methodologies (e.g., Lean, Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
  • Experience with grant research, grant writing, and grant management
